The big news out of Germany today concerning Liverpool is that Bayern Munich have said that they will not be offering Mario Gotze a new deal in January.
This comes on the back of rumours that say the German international is interested in playing for his former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
“We will look at Gotze’s contract situation in peace,’ Bayern sporting director Matthias Sammer told Sat1. “Bayern Munich are the party calling the shots. There is no problem at all with Mario.
“We all know how the situation is and how long his contract is running. And we know when there are certain key moments. But we are the ones who are in charge. We are in no rush and will work on this at our leisure.”
