Liverpool is reportedly engaged in talks with Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and hope to get last season’s Ligue 1 top scorer to move to Anfield this summer.

The 24-year-old French international had a tremendous season scoring 31 goals while helping Lyon keep the pressure on champions Paris Saint-Germain who having witnessed the star first-hand are also interested in signing him.

Liverpool meanwhile are desperate to bring in a quality striker after failing miserably in the goals scored department last season, and are believed to have a kitty of £35 million available for a top striker.

The Reds could face stiff competition from Manchester City and Arsenal for the Frenchman’s signature, but are also believed to be looking at other strikers as well including Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke to insure that manager Brendan Rodgers does not come up empty handed.
