Liverpool goes after Russian international to replace Sterling

 

According to Spanish football daily SPORT Liverpool is making moves to sign Russian international winger Denis Cheryshev, after it appears the 24-year-old is set to follow Lucas Silva out the door at Real Madrid.


Cheryshev spent all of last season on loan at Villarreal, and with completion stiff for forward positions in trainer Rafa Benitez’s team looks set to miss out on first ream football if he remains at the Santiago Bernabeu for the upcoming season.


According to SPORT the Spanish giants have received several offers for the left-sided winger including one from Liverpool who hopes to use the Real Madrid academy graduate as a replacement for Raheem Sterling.
