Liverpool is due to meet with Manchester City Midfielder James Milner this week and is confident that they can seal a deal for the 29-year-old.
Following the departure of Captain Steven Gerrard to the LA Galaxy, the Reds have made the capture of the out-of-contact England international a priority signing.
Should a deal be agreed upon Milner will move to Anfield on July 1st as Liverpool looks to make more signings ahead of the upcoming season.
Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Milner which means a move to Anfield is still not a certainty, even though Liverpool appears to be front runners.
