With it looking more, and more likely that Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov will be leaving Manchester United this summer it would be an excellent opportunity to get a striker who we all know can score goals.

Liverpool should buy Berbatov

Liverpool’s problem this season has been scoring goals, and I think we can all see that we have a star in Luis Suarez, a quality player that we can all agree upon.
Regardless of what manager Kenny Dalglish says about Liverpool’s £35 million striker by calling him our £15 million plus striker, as that is how much money Liverpool had left over after the sale of Spaniard Fernando Torres to Chelsea for £50 million.
Caroll to me, apart from a few flick on’s has looked like he should be playing centre forward for Tranmere Rovers.
The best move for me has arguably been Craig Bellemy who Liverpool got on a free transfer love him or hate him the man gives you a hundred and ten percent every time he comes on to the pitch.
When speaking about Bellemy this is what the Reds captain Steven Gerrard had to say:
‘Craig has been superb since he’s come in, he’s a fantastic professional who works really hard. He was a menace all night – that’s what type of player he is. He’s in your face, he runs in behind, he doesn’t let you settle on the ball.
‘I’m sure if he carries on, he can have the (same) impact at this club that Gary McAllister did.’
It is probably far-fetched to think that Liverpool could get the Bulgarian hitman, as there is not been a history of transfers between the two Northwest rivalries.
For me Berbatov is a striker of Quality who would love nothing more than to face his now club United at Anfield and show them what a mistake they made by putting three goals past United’s goalkeeper David de Gea.
