While talking to talkSPORT Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata told the radio station that he is expecting to see great things from youngster James Wilson claiming that the 19-year-old has all the right talents to succeed at Old Trafford.

It has been a breakthrough season for the United striker who sealed the win with his goal in the Red Devils 3-0 FA Cup replay win over Cambridge United last night leading Mata to say he thinks Wilson will be a key member of Louis van Gaal’s team.

“James has a great future ahead of him,” the Spanish international told the Sports Bar.

“Everyone can see he has a great left foot, it’s incredible the way he can finish. His touch is good and he is quick as well; he has everything to succeed.

“He will have to be patient because there are a lot of other players in the team, but I think he can be very important to the club in the future.”

United now play Preston North End in the next round of the FA Cup not having won the trophy since 2004, and Mata thinks they have every opportunity to win it this season.

“It would be very good for us to win the trophy,” the playmaker said.

“It’s been a long time since the club has won the FA Cup so it would be special for every one of us.

“We will do everything we can to pass the next round and that’s all we’re thinking about now, the next round.”
