Jürgen Klopp is one of the Real Madrid fans’ favourites to take over the managerial duties at the club next season. The Borussia Dortmund coach responded to the rumours with his usual good humour: “I know many of them have seen our games against Real Madrid and they liked the way we played,” he said in an interview published by the newspaper ‘Bild’.

The German coach, whose lively style of play with Borussia Dortmund (which he led to league and cup glory last season) has wooed many Spanish fans, said that he does not have time to think about Real Madrid at the moment.

“Maybe the Real Madrid supporters want a German coach again. But, regrettably, I don’t have time to think about that right now”, remarked Jürgen Klopp when asked about the possibility.

Klopp is living up to the great expectations of his current position, and his team is set to take on Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League round of 16, after qualifying first in their group ahead of Real Madrid. Despite the rumours linking him to Real Madrid, the manager insisted: “The only sure thing is that I have a contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2016.”
