Manchester United may have a good chance of signing Real Madrid star James Rodriguez this summer if reports are to be believed. Rodriguez hasn’t really been given the chance to express himself in the Real Madrid team and there have been many reports claiming he will be leaving Real Madrid this summer with Manchester United said to be in the favorites for his signature.

However, reports claim Manchester United will have to pay as much as £60 million to sign the Colombian which is funny considering the player has been woefully out of form. Which is the main reason Real Madrid are ready to offload him. Chelsea are also said to be interested in the player which is probably why Real Madrid think they can get as much as £60 million for a player who has been so out of form.

James Rodriguez had a very good world cup in 2014 and for sure his talent is not in doubt and he is still very young at 24. Should Manchester United sign him, he will he will be a quality addition to the current United team but for 60 million, he is definitely not worth have it and in my opinion, Manchester United should let Chelsea have him if they so want.

With United having spent roughly £350 million in the last two summer transfer windows, the Red devils need to be careful this summer.
