It would appear that life at Manchester United is not all it was cracked up to be for former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie with reports in the Sunday Mirror suggesting that he is ready to forgo a £10 million loyalty bonus if he leaves this summer.

The Dutchman is openly wanted by Serie A leaders Juventus, and is said to be open to the idea of moving to Turin after becoming disillusioned with life at Old Trafford.

Van Persie criticised Manchester United manager David Moyes for the tactics he used during the Red Devils 2-0 defeat at Olympiakos which along with various other bits of news that has leaked out points to a rift between van Persie and the Scotsman Moyes.

The United striker was substituted much to his frustration yesterday in United’s 0-3 win against West Brom at the Hawthorns.

Moyes took him off in the 63rd minute after he had been cautioned by referee Jon Moss for a lunge on Morgan Amalfitano and could have quite easily received a red card soon afterwards when he hacked down Steven Reid.

Van Persie shook his head in disbelief when Moyes brought on Danny Welbeck to replace him in what to any neutral watching would have been seen as a smart move by the manager not risking having him sent off for another careless tackle.

United has always maintained that the 30-year-old striker is not for sale, but if Juventus can come up with close to the £24 million United paid Arsenal  for him he could very well be on his way to Italy in a move that would suit all parties concerned.
