As speculation continues to mount in Spain that both Barcelona and Real Madrid are preparing to make bids for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez the Liverpool Echo is today reporting that his father in law is saying that the Premierships leading scorer “has nothing else to prove” in England and should move to Spain and play in La Liga.

Liverpool meanwhile will be hoping that their biggest asset will remain at Anfield, but after what the club went through last summer when he was talking of leaving should the bids be big enough they will of course have to listen and in the end bow down to any decision Suarez makes.

Gustavo Balbi, father of Suarez’s wife Sofia, said: “He has nothing else to prove (in England).

“It is the right moment for a change. He would not go to another English team out of respect for Liverpool. If he leaves the Premier League, his best option would be to play in Spain.”
