No matter what spin Luis Suarez will try and put on this latest incident, it was there for all to see as his frustrations boiled over with Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini the Uruguayan striker decided to sink his teeth into Chiellini’s shoulder leaving bite marks that were clearly visible to television camera’s covering the game.

With FIFA now on the case Suarez is almost sure to face a lengthy ban once more with Liverpool bosses hoping that it will be confined to international matches and not affect Premiership games.

According to the Daily Mirror Liverpool directors will to day hold a crisis meeting to decide on the clubs approach to this new accusation.

This latest incident follows on from a 10-match ban he received after biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic in the arm, and will leave Liverpool no longer able to defend their star striker behaviour after claiming that he was a reformed character very remorseful about his past behaviour.

Liverpool will almost certainly want to sell Suarez now, but will get nowhere near the amount of money they could gave received had the latest incident not have happened as both Barcelona and Real Madrid will think twice about signing the controversial striker.

Should the two Spanish giants decide that Suarez is too much of a risk Liverpool may be forced to go along with any ban FIFA impose while finding themselves with a player that is no longer sellable at least until this latest incident is long forgotten.

The maximum ban FIFA could impose is 24-months, yet to date the longest ban in World Cup history is eight games for Italy’s Mauro Tassotti received for breaking Spain’s Luis Enrique’s nose in 1994 with an elbow.
