Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes that Cesc Fabregas joining Chelsea is a done deal and hope to announce the £27 million move by the end of the week according to the Daily Mirror.

This will come as a massive blow to Arsenal fans who always thought that if Fabregas returned to play in England it would be for them, and not one of their biggest rivals.

Chelsea however has stuck a deal with Barcelona and the Gunners have refused to activate their buy-back option.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger obviously has other summer targets on his mind with the Mirror reporting that Arsenal has upped their interest in Bayern Munich’s Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic.

This lack of interest from Arsenal in their former player has allowed Chelsea to put a deal together in which they see the midfielder being able to play an attacking midfield role which combine with fellow new signing Diego Costa.

The 27-year-olds representatives were keen to stress that arsenal were not interested in singing the Spanish international, and Chelsea offered a deal that will see him double his current Barcelona wage of £100,000 when he moves to Stamford Bridge.
