Football pundit Andy Gray thinks that Jose Mourinho has made an excellent buy signing Cesc Fabregas and that the 27-year-old will slot perfectly into Chelsea’s midfield.

Gray also points out that the Spaniards £30 million move from Barcelona is sure to anger Arsenal fans who always thought that the Spaniard would return one day to the club he professes to love.

He told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “He has got the right pedigree, he is made of the right stuff and he is a terrific footballer. He will fit in quite perfectly in that midfield area.”

“He knows the Premier League,” added Gray. “He is not one of these foreign players who is going to have to come in and maybe have a year, 18 months to settle into the place.

“He knows exactly what it is all about. He has played over 200, 300 games in this Premier League.”

Chelsea are also in the process of completing a deal for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa with Gray adding:

“If the move for Fabregas goes through and the Diego Costa deal goes through, it shows Chelsea are flexing their muscles a little bit and one or two people should be worried.”
