Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is prepared to make what he thinks is a realistic bid of £17 million for Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne if he manages to impress Wenger during the World Cup.
The 64-year-old Frenchman has had his scouts keep a close watch on the 23-year-old who is set to play a key role for Italy in this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
Wenger is thought to have at least £100 million available for players yet has been quiet so far in the transfer market unlike other clubs that hope to have their business done before the tournament kicks off in under a weeks’ time.
