Good news for Reds fans following a couple of months of wondering if a deal could be done or not they finally have their answer after Liverpool football club announced that James Milner is moving to Anfield on a free transfer from Man City.

The deal is still subject to the 29-year-old passing a medical but should all go well he will join up with the team on the 1st of July.

The England international reportedly rejected an offer of £165,000 per-week to remain at Manchester City in order to move to Liverpool where he has been promised a starting role in his favourite central midfield role.

This is excellent news for Liverpool as the England international is a typical box-to-box midfielder who is equally at home defending while also loving to take the ball forward.

Well done to Brendan Rodgers, now all the Reds need is a quality right-back a world class goalkeeper and a man who can find the back of the net like Luis Suarez used to do.
