Manchester United manager David Moyes has said the he will block any attempt of Mexican striker Javier Hernandez leaving Manchester United in January.

The player who wears a jersey with his nickname on the Chicharito (little pea) has been linked with a move away from United after having only started two games in all competitions this season.

Both Atletico Madrid and Tottenham are thought to be two clubs that are interested in signing the 25-year-old, yet United boss Moyes insists that Hernandez will not be going anywhere, and that he will get his chance to play.

‘It [Hernandez’s exit] is not a question for now,’ said Moyes. ‘He will play a lot of games before the end of the season.’

The former Guadalajara player turned down a move to la Liga side Valencia during the summer according to his agent, and may well want to move to a team where he will get more playing time before next summer’s World Cup as he is well down the pecking order at Manchester United behind Rooney, van Persie and Danny Welbeck.
