Dubbed the new Cristiano Ronaldo, Benfica youngster Goncalo Guedes can now add Chelsea to his list of suitors after Portuguese football publication O Jogo claims Chelsea scouts have watched him play at least five times.
The 18-year-old winger has also been linked to a move to Arsenal after their scouts have also been seen tracking one of Europe’s hottest young talents, with the assumption that one of the two clubs is ready to make their move.
Chelsea already has a reputation of snapping up the continents brightest stars and then farming them out to develop at other clubs, and currently have a total of 33-players out on loan.
If it came to a showdown between Chelsea and Arsenal, the Blues are convinced that Arsene Wenger would not be willing to enter into a bidding war over Guedes and that he will be next in a long list of talent they have waiting in the wings.
