Chelsea fans will once again be surprised that the club has once more been linked to a player that none of them have ever heard of, except this time it is not in order to please club shirt sponsor Yokohama Rubber, after the Chairman of Tokyo FC confirmed the Blues had made a £4 million bid for Japanese striker Yoshinori Muto.

“It is true that Chelsea sent us an offer for Muto. It is a formal offer with conditions. They want to acquire him in the summer.”

Muto also spoke about a possible move saying: “I have not decided yet at all. It is an honour for me to receive this offer from a great club.”

Now we are getting reports from ESPN Brazil that Chelsea wants to sign Atletico Paranaense midfielder Nathan for £4.7 million.

ESPN Brazil has confirmed that Paranaense has accepted a bid the 19-year-old and that the player is to travel to London this week for a medical and to put pen to paper.

More than likely the young Brazilian will be farmed out for a few years as is Chelsea’s practice, but by snapping up young talent you cannot imagine the type of dynasty that is being built that will bear fruit in future years.
