Arsenal has been given the green light to complete the transfer of Chelsea No.2 goalkeeper Petr Cech after the Blues say he is free to move to Premiership rivals Arsenal.

This is great news for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger who wanted a top shot-stopper between the posts next season after being unsure as to whether David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny were the quality that a Premiership winning team needs in their side.

The 33-year-old has maintained that Arsenal would be his preferred club, as the only thing that would change in his daily routine would driving to work each day a different way.

The fee being talked about is £10 million, but everything hinged on Chelsea allowing him to join a rival, which the Daily Telegraph says has now been agreed.
