Manchester United may have been making all the headlines on Monday, but Chelsea has been frantically working behind the scenes to sign Chilean Copa America hero Charles Aranguiz.
The Blues were busy over the weekend tying up a deal with the 26-year-old midfielder’s Brazilian club Internacional, who have agreed to sell their star player for a so far undisclosed amount.
The only detail still remaining is to get Aranguiz to agree to the move, and pack his bags for west London.
Meanwhile Arsenal and Manchester City have also been tracking the Chilean international, but it appears as if Chelsea got the jump on their Premiership rivals to get the deal completed.
