Benfica deal stalls for Belgium striker opening the door for Arsenal

It had looked like Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi was on his way to Portuguese side Benfica, but according to talkSport recent reports in the Belgium press suggest that both sides have failed to reach an agreement.

Benfica were thought to be lining up the Belgium sharp shooter as a replacement for Rodrigo who is said to be wanted by Liverpool and with Benfica yet to formalise a deal it could open up the door for a host of other clubs to become involved including Arsenal.

The 20-year-old has scored 18 goals this season, and being an Arsenal supporter would love nothing more than to be playing at the Emirates.
