Bale,

This is of course what Tottenham’s manager Andres Villas-Boas has said about Spurs top player, yet we all know that when a club like Real Madrid are set to break the bank after having labelled the Welsh wizard their number one summer transfer target that it could just be a ploy by Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy to up the wingers price.

Any Spurs fan will tell you that they do not want to see their best player leave, yet are intelligent enough to realise that the club is about more than just on player, and that the money raised by Bale could be used to buy Aston Villa’s Belgium beast Christian Benteke, and a host of other young talent.

Anyway here is what AVB had to say you can read it and then make up your own mind as to whether bale will leave or not.

“The chairman said that we are not open to offers, whatever they are, and that the player will stay,” he told Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

“The chairman said that we are not open to offers, whatever they are, and that the player will stay.”

“In football anything can happen, but these are the guarantees given to me.

“There was a moment last season when Gareth came to me because he was not comfortable out on the pitch.

“I do not know if it was my response or that he was glad to relieve the stress, but after that he became confident and played with freedom.

“He felt important and finished the year in style.”
