With all the talk suggesting that Arsenal is to go all out in their pursuit of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is trying to dampen expectations by saying that he does not think that by signing the 27-year-old Frenchman that Arsenal automatically becomes the Premier League Champions.
Arsenal legend and now Sky Sports football pundit Thierry Henry has gone on the record of having said that Benzema would be the addition Arsenal needs in order to win their first league title since 2004.
“I respect Thierry Henry a lot for his football knowledge but it is not as mathematical as that,” Wenger said.
“We have to develop our collective game and depend less on one guy who comes in and scores all the goals.”
