METRO is reporting this morning that Arsenal is prepared to offer Italian striker Mario Balotelli £180,000 per –week to move to the Emirates from the San Siro this summer.
The 23-year-old Italian international has emerged as the man manager Arsene Wenger wants to sign as he looks for a world-class striker to join Arsenal and help take the burden off of Olivier Giroud.
Balotelli is also open towards a move back to the Premiership, with his agent yesterday saying that a £27 million deal with Arsenal could be done in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile Arsenal is yet to put a formal bid into AC Milan, but senior officials at the club say that a rough contract has been drawn up that would offer Balotelli £180,000 per-week £30,000 more than he currently earns in Italy.
