With Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta predicted to leave the Emirates this summer for David Moyes Real Sociedad Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been looking for a replacement, and thinks he has found him in Bayer Leverkusen’s Turkish international Hakan Calhanoglu.

METRO is reporting that the 21-year-old midfielder is on Wenger’s wish list and that the Frenchman is prepared to offer the Bundesliga side cash and Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski in order to push the deal through.

Calhanoglu is a specialist when it comes to set-pieces which has many people comparing him to Italian legend Andrea Pirlo.

So far this season Calhanoglu has scored ten goals in 37 appearances for his new side since moving from Hamburg last summer and could be a very good signing for Arsenal given his age and technical ability.
