Manchester United and Arsenal target Hector Moreno has responded to rumours linking him with the Premiership duo saying that at the current time he has no immediate plans to leave La Liga side Espanyol.

Following some impressive performances in Spain this season the 27-year-old Mexican international has been linked with a £6 million move to the Premiership in the summer after the player’s agent threw wood on the fire saying: “Moreno is leaving Espanyol. He wants to leave and we’re looking for another team in Europe.”

The 27-year-old centre-back responded however to his agents comments saying:”It’s a lack of respect to say that I want to leave Espanyol for a new team.

“There’s no agreement between three parties; sellers, buyers and me. I’m better here than when I was injured. I’m happy here, we’ll see.”
