With progress to get Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna to sign a new contract seemingly going nowhere the Daily Mirror is reporting that Arsenal is now busy trying to find a replacement for the 31-year-old.

Sagna’s contract is up this June and despite the fact he would like to stay with Arsenal the club is not willing to offer him the kind of deal he is looking for, prompting Inter Milan and a couple of top French sides to show interest in the right-back.

A possible candidate for the vacancy is 21-year-old Serge Aurier who plays his football in France for Toulouse where he has scored five goals this season after having come up through the ranks at Lens.

Aurier despite holding a French passport has got seven caps for the Ivory Coast and would cost the Gunners around £6 million to bring him to the Emirates.
