According to Britain’s Sun newspaper Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to launch a £7 million bid to get now Chelsea number two goal keeper Petr Cech to move to the Emirates in January.

Wenger is said to be confident of landing the 32-year-old, while fighting of the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool as Cech and his family are well-settled in London after being at Stamford Bridge for so many years.

The Gunners boss is also believed to be ready to offer Cech the same £100,000 per-week salary that he currently makes at Chelsea.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho while preferring Cech would move abroad to play is said to be willing to not interfere in the shot stoppers decision to find first team football after ten years of loyal service at Chelsea, and his decision to stay on at the club even though he knew he would lose his place to Belgium number one Thibaut Courtois.
