We were wondering how long we would have to wait before we heard both Arsenal and Julian Draxler used together in a sentence, given Arsene Wenger’s desire in the past to sign the 21-year-old Schalke midfielder.
The Gunners boss has now been given a second chance of getting the young German to swap the Veltins-Arena for the Emirates after favourites to sign him Juventus had a £15.6 million offer knocked back by the Gelsenkirchen club who value their star player at £30 million, almost double what the Italian Champions were offering.
With Draxler now available and Chelsea making such a low offer the door is open for Arsenal to make their move, with the only thing now in their way a possible bidding war with Chelsea, who has also been tracking the Bundesliga Star.
