In what would be a shock move by the Gunners French sports daily L’Equipe say Arsenal is preparing a bid for Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The French international is having another banner year at White Hart Lane, and is now regarded as one of the world’s best keepers with both Real Madrid and Juventus also interested in the 28-year-old.

Arsenal is in the market for a new number one keeper after boss Arsene Wenger lost confidence in Polish international Wojciech Szczesny, dropping him for number two keeper David Ospina.

Should the Gunners even approach Spurs over Lloris it would rock north London, and probably be too much to contemplate for Spurs fans.
