Arsenal bid CLUB RECORD £44.6m for World Class Striker

Arsenal has jumped into the transfer market in a big way by making a club record £44.6 million offer for Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to respected Spanish football journalist Kike Marin via Metro.

The 26-year-old Gabonese international is Europe’s top striker this season scoring 27 goals in 27 games so far this season for the Bundesliga giants, and would fit in with what Gunners boss Arsene Wenger said about having the funds available should a top target present itself.

And while the North Rhine Westphalia club may initially try and play down talk of a possible move, we would like to remind Gooners that it was the very same Marin who broke the news on Alexis Sanchez’s move from Barcelona to the Emirates.

If Arsenal can pull off a move as spectacular as signing Emerick Aubameyang it would go a long way in showing how determined Wenger is to win this season’s Premier League title.
