Arsenal, Tottenham

British radio station talkSPORT is reporting this morning that Arsenal and Tottenham are in a two way battle to sign QPR striker Loic Remy.

The Gunners have for a long time now been linked with a move for the French international who managed to score 14 goals while on loan at Newcastle last season, and it appeared at one point that a move to the Emirates was a done deal.

Talk emerged that Newcastle still had aspirations of signing the 27-year-old, but what we are hearing now is that it will come down to a two-way battle between the two north London rivals after the player has decided to sign for which club appeals to him the most.

Arsenal of course have all the French connections and can offer Champions League football where as Spurs have a new charismatic manager in Mauricio Pochettino who is yet to make his first signing since joining from Southampton earlier in the summer, and while the edge favours Arsenal, Spurs might just might be willing to offer higher wages than the Gunners.
