Reports over the last few days have spoken about Robin van Persie being sold in the summer and with the Red Devils unlikely to take up their option on Radamel Falcao Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani is being linked with a move to Old Trafford.
The assumption is that United would have to fork out £60 million for the Uruguayan and offer him wages of £300,000 per-week to get him to move to England.
This however is not the opinion of French journalist Julien Laurens who told talkSPORT that he thinks United may be able to sign Cavani for as little as £40.
