Arsenal has reportedly been told by Chelsea that they will not sell goalkeeper Petr Cech to any club they see as a Premiership rival.

The 32-year-old shot-stopper is fed up having to play as the clubs back-up keeper for Belgium number one Thibaut Courtois and is thought to be looking to move from Stamford Bridge this summer to get more playing time.

This has led to talk linking him to Arsenal who are thought to be looking for a new number one goalkeeper after Arsene Wenger dropped Wojciech Szczesny in favour of David Ospina, who despite a series of good results has still not convinced manager Arsene Wenger that he is the best man for the job.

Despite possible interest from the Gunners Goal have now claimed an inside source at the Emirates has told them Chelsea will only let Cech leave for a foreign team.

‘Cech is still one of the best goalkeepers around and he would be the perfect signing, but the message from Chelsea is not to bother wasting our time.‘ Said the insider.

A very likely scenario if this is true is that Cech could move to Real Madrid as a stop gap until Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea’s contract expires with Manchester United.
