Xavi to PSG would Free-UP Cabaye for a return to the Premiership

French champions Paris Saint-Germain is plotting an audacious move for former Barcelona midfield general Xavi.

Following his last match for the Catalan giants the Spanish midfielder announced he would join Qatari side Al-Sadd on a two-year contract, which has Qatar backed PSG now looking to sign the 35-year-old on a season-long loan.

If this was to go through it would mean even less playing time for the 29-year-old at the Parc des Princes and would almost immediately start the French international looking to find another club.

This would also ignite Arsene Wenger’s interest in the French international knowing that there would be the possibility of luring him to the Emirates something Arsenal failed to do in 2013 when he left Newcastle United to play for PSG.

Besides Arsenal there would be a host of Premiership clubs looking to sign the classy midfielder, who in our opinion here at Soccer Transfers is on the brink of leaving the French champions with or without the arrival of Xavi.
