West Ham United is reportedly on the verge of signing Liverpool striker Fabio Borini for £8 million as the 24-year-old Italian heads south to finalize the move in London.

According to the Sun Borini is just one of the players the Reds want to sell in order to help fund the signing of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

What is surprising about Borini is the fact the Italian striker expects to earn £100,000 per-week, and apparently West Ham is willing to pay it.

If the deal comes off it will be good for both parties giving Liverpool a little extra cash, while at the same time giving Borini the chance to show what he can do with more first team football, something he did not get while at Liverpool.
