England international striker Danny Welbeck is set to return to Arsenal after being out for a month with a thigh injury in time for this weekend’s local derby at White Hart Lane.

Welbeck is now back in full training with the squad and will be available to manager Arsene Wenger for the match against Tottenham.

This will be a big boost for the Frenchman who also expects to have Alexis Sanchez available after having rested the Chilean during last week’s 5-0 win over Aston Villa.

The return of Welbeck gives Wenger more options, even though he is likely to go with just Olivier Giroud up front following Sundays success over Villa that saw the French striker get the opening goal.

The match against Spurs will also go a long way in testing Arsenals bid for a top four finish with Spurs also hoping for a Champions League place next season.
