Reports in Italy suggest that Tottenham have acted swiftly to replace Harry Redknapp by appointing Andre Villas-Boas on a three-year-deal.

Villas-Boas set for Spurs job - reports

Villas-Boas left former club Chelsea under a cloud when he was sacked in March with the club struggling in the Premier League and facing early exits in the FA Cup and Champions League.

But Gazzetta Dello Sport are claiming that the 34-year-old former scout will be offered a quick return to top-flight football in England with Tottenham.

Spurs are also believed to be considering Everton manager David Moyes and Wigan boss Roberto Martinez, but it appears Villas-Boas could be the shock choice of the club’s board.
