Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has tipped former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes to take over from David De Gea once the 24-year-old Spanish international completes his move to Real Madrid.
While speaking to Sky Sports News Yorke said: “Victor Valdes probably thinks he would have a good opportunity.
“He’s got a wealth of experience and has won everything in the game. He will probably be a suitable candidate and fill that gap.”
Saying this the 33-year-old shot-stopper did not look so brilliant when he came on for the injured David De Gea on the 17th of May conceding a goal to Arsenal’s Theo Walcott without a shot being fired at him, and while a 33-year-old Peter Cech may be suitable for Arsenal, we think Red Devil fans would have a bit more confidence if Hugo Lloris was between the posts.
