According to Belgium’s Sport Wereld it is only a matter of time before Everton’s Marouane Fellaini will sign for Manchester United.

United Manager David Moyes, and club money man Ed Woodward held talks on bringing both Fellaini and his Everton teammate Leighton Baines to Old Trafford and talked about what their plan would be should they only be able to sign Fellaini.

United have already had one bid of £33 million turned down for the pair that Everton called offensive, and while Everton hold all the cards they could find it impossible not to sell the Belgium midfielder after he has expressed his desire to leave the club.

If anyone would be to blame for a deal not going through it would rest firmly on the shoulders of United who have known all along how much it would take to sign Fellaini yet they go and make a stupid offer in the hope of getting the pair on the cheap.

Now with time running out they may have left it too late for Everton manager Roberto Martinez to find a replacement for Fellaini but there has been talk of him going back to his former club for James McCarthy.
