Barcelona midfield general Xavi is under contract for a further two seasons at the Nou Camp yet is being offered to three top Premiership sides of which Arsenal is his favourite according to the Daily Star.
The other two clubs that have been contacted are Manchester United and Manchester City who just clenched the Premiership title yesterday.
City bosses Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain know the 34-year-old well after their time at Barcelona, and it has been suggested that Xavi would be a good signing for City’s North American franchise New York City FC.
The Barcelona playmaker is thought to be looking at a deal that will pay him £150,000 per-week as Barcelona plan a summer of big changes following a disappointing season.
