With current number two keeper Lukasz Fabianski set to leave Arsenal this summer in the hope of finding first team football, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is considering going after Cardiff City’s Scottish international David Marshall according to the Sunday People newspaper.

Marshall has gained the respect of every team relegated Cardiff have played this season, leading to Wenger wanting to sign him for the Gunners in order to put pressure on Wojciech Szczesny for the starting role at the Emirates.

While Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not want to lose such a good goalkeeper he may be powerless should Arsenal offer £8 million for the 29-year-old shot stopper.
