Manchester City midfielder James Milner is out of contract at the end of the season with both Liverpool and Arsenal ready to pounce if he does not sign a new contract with his current employers.

Milner would apparently like to stay at the Etihad and finish his career, but is only interested if City offer him a four-year-deal which they are reluctant to do given that Milner is 29-years-old.

City is however prepared to offer him a three-year-deal on wages of £80,000 per-week which so far Milner has refused to accept.

Meanwhile Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan is also watching the standoff between Milner and his current club and may go up against the two Premiership rivals given the fact Mancini knows Milner well from his time at the Etihad.
