Liverpool

Last year Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers could do no wrong at the helm of a team playing the most attractive football in England while also challenging for the Premiership title.

This year however after the departure of Louis Suarez and the injuries to Daniel Sturridge, Liverpool look like a mid-table team devoid of any ideas, especially so when it comes to scoring.

Last night’s 1-1 draw with FC Basel at Anfield saw the end of the Reds spectacular return to the Champions League, a league in which we can now say Liverpool are not ready to compete in as was evident in the match with Real Madrid when the Spaniards knowing the match was won took their foot off the pedal to spare any further embarrassment.

Have a listen to one Liverpool fans opinions on five live in which he calls Rodgers a “one trick pony.”
