If there is anything this season has shown, it is that Arsenal are in need of another striker. The likes of Welbeck, Giroud and Walcott are simply not good enough. Many Arsenal fans will be hoping Wenger will finally do the right thing in the transfer window by bringing in another striker, ideally a world class one. But with reports claiming Theo Walcott could leave the club this summer, Arsenal needs to replace the England international.

One striker who has been linked to Arsenal as a potential replacement for the former Southampton striker is AS Roma’s Umar Sadiq. The Nigerian is said to have caught the eyes of Wenger and after sending scouts to watch the Nigeria youth international on a number of ocassions, the Frenchman now made an official bid for him.

Unfortunately Arsenal may lose out on the signing of Umar Sadiq as according to reports, the Gunners are only ready to pay Roma £9.6m to sign the player while the Rome clubside are reportedly holding out for a £15 million fee.

This footdragging on a fee to pay for the Nigerian who has in 18 youth games scored 19 goals so far this season could see Arsenal lose the player to Tottenham or Liverpool who have now reportedly entered the race to sign him.

Both Liverpool and Tottenham are said to be ready to pay Roma the £15 million they are demanding which means unless Wenger decides Arsenal should match the offers of the other clubs, they may be losing the chance to sign the highly rated striker to other their EPL rivals.
