Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has said that he uses the time traveling between the hotel and the ground to watch goal videos of himself on his smartphone in order to get him in the mood for scoring.

Sturridge may have to start asking the coach driver to take a longer route to the grounds as he continues to add to the 36 goals in 36 matches that he boasts as a Liverpool player.

When talking to the Daily Mirror Sturridge said: “I watch the goals on my phone to get me in the mood and to give myself a vision of how I want the game to go,” he explained. “As the season has gone on, I have got more clips, but that’s good. It keeps changing and I will do the same routine against Cardiff.

“The clips now last around 15-20 minutes, which is normally what the coach ride to a stadium takes – so it is perfect. It gets me in the right mood.”

It must be working as the former Chelsea player has with Liverpool become one of the world’s top strikers, and even though it was not the trophy he wants to win the most the 25-year-old was named the Premier League player of the month for February.
