In what will be a bitter disappointment for Arsenal fans star forward Alexis Sanchez with miss Saturday’s north London derby at White Hart Lane as he still struggles to recover from a hamstring strain that saw him side-lined for last weekend’s 5-0 win over Aston Villa.
“The latest is that Alexis is not ready,” Arsene Wenger told the club’s website.
“He is not far away, the Leicester game [at home next Tuesday] is a possibility. He is of course very difficult to keep quiet. He is training but it’s light training.”
There is however some good news for the Gunners, and that is that Danny Welbeck has been names in the match day squad after having been out since December.
