Arsenal fans will have to wait to see new signing

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that new signing Krystian Bielik may not play for the Gunners this season after having just joined the club from Legia Warsaw last month in a deal worth £2.4 million.

Wenger claimed that he was in no hurry to play the 17-year-old telling the clubs match day program that fans may not see Bielik in an Arsenal shirt before next season.

‘Krystian Bielik is building up his fitness,’ wrote Wenger. ‘The first signs we have seen are very positive.

‘He’s a very strong player, he’s 17, he has a very good technical level and looks intelligent. But we’ll have to give him a little time to settle and adapt.

‘I like to take players of that age mid-season because it gives them a cushion of four or five months to settle, adapt and then be ready for the following season.’
