The Dutchman faces his old club Arsenal for the first time in tomorrow’s lunchtime kick-off at Old Trafford.
RvP has banged in nine goals for the Red Devils but Giggsy insists it is not just the goals which have dazzled his team-mates.
The Welshman said: “When a ready-made, world- class player comes in it gives everybody a lift. And Robin is certainly that.
“He’s proven that with his goals and all-round play since he’s come to the club.”
Giggs says Van Persie has also created countless other goals for a United team which has had no trouble finding the net.
He added: “Robin’s set-piece delivery is really important to us. It’s a big plus that we’re scoring from set-pieces and corners.
“That’s something we haven’t done over the last few years as often as we’d have liked.
“So with Robin it’s not just goals you get. He’s helped a few different names get on the scoresheet.”
United produced an astonishing 8-2 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford in the Premier League 14 months ago.
Giggs, 39, admitted: “Last season was one of those fluke performances.
“We always expect a tough performance against Arsenal. It’s no different this time.”
