Manchester United has been linked with several defensive midfielders this summer including Arsenal target Morgan Schneiderlin, but now appears to be close to landing Belgium international Radja Nainggolan by offering the Romans striker Robin van Persie as part of the deal.
Roma for their part are interested in bringing the Dutch striker to Italy after rumours of a bust up between him and his fellow countryman Louis van Gaal according to Alfredo Pedulla.
With interest already being shown by Turkish giants Galatasaray it remains to be seen if RVP would be willing to move to Italy even if it probably meant earning less money than he could get playing in Turkey.
